Luke Rubino’s 20 years with Amsted Industries have been marked by his ability to challenge the status quo, seek more efficient approaches to business improvement, and act as a true leader for the benefit of those around him. 

Luke worked his way from Lean Leader to Plant Manager at BAC before assuming domestic and international senior leadership roles with BAC as well as other Amsted business units, including ConMet and Burgess-Norton. In his current role as Vice President of Global Product and Technology Innovation at BAC, Luke leads the global product and process engineering efforts, overseeing various areas including new technology development, new product development, technical disciplines, global manufacturing production systems, advanced manufacturing technologies and global innovation.

Paying it forward through leadership and mentorship 

A naturally competitive spirit has taken him far in his career, but Luke’s dedication to enhancing the business is driven by his true motivation to create a positive impact for others. First, he takes pride in knowing that his work contributes to improving the quality of life for people across the globe as BAC reinvents cooling to sustain the world. Additionally, as an ESOP company, Luke and his colleagues are owners, so when BAC does well, their collective success is shared by all.

As a leader, Luke focuses on building trust and empowerment, creating an environment where individuals around him can grow their careers into strong, well-connected employees and leaders. His leadership approach mirrors the Amsted company culture, which he describes as authentic, transparent, empowering, accountable, and execution-focused. Luke is also a participant in the Swiderski Mentorship Program, a testament to his commitment to paying it forward.

As a mentor himself, he enjoys the chance to engage with a multitude of talented individuals, lending an empathetic ear, sharing his valuable insights, and seeing them ultimately develop the awareness and tools they need to be more successful.
