On December 7, 2023, Amsted Rail formalized an agreement to participate in the U.S. Army’s Partnership for Your Success (PaYS) Program during a ceremony held at Amsted Rail’s corporate headquarters in Chicago.
The PaYS Program is a strategic partnership between the U.S. Army and a cross section of corporations, companies and public sector agencies. The program provides America’s soldiers with an opportunity to serve their country while they prepare for their future. PaYS partners guarantee soldiers an interview and possible employment after the Army. This unique program is part of the Army’s effort to partner with America’s business community and reconnect America with its Army.
The ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement between the U.S. Army and Amsted Rail was signed by Lieutenant Colonel David Culver, Commander of the Chicago Recruiting Battalion, and Amsted Rail President Michael Carter.
“This partnership is more than just about filling roles – it’s about building connections with those who share our values, our commitment to excellence, and our drive to make a meaningful impact,” said Carter. “As an employee-owned company, we are all stakeholders in this business, which contributes to a culture of cooperation, productivity and innovation where our employees can flourish both professionally and personally.”
During the ceremony, the posting of the colors was performed by the Chicago Army Recruiting Battalion Color Guard and Gabriella Rago sang the national anthem.
