On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Amsted Industries brought together teams from across the country for the inaugural Amsted Industries Cornhole Tournament, held at Navy Pier in Chicago. All four of our business units, plus the corporate team at Amsted Industries, competed in regional tournaments, with two teams from each unit advancing to the final showdown for an exciting 10-team championship.
The day was filled with friendly competition, team spirit and fun as the finalists battled it out. After a series of exciting matches, ConMet’s Canton, NC, team claimed the championship, while Amsted Rail’s Greenville, SC, team came in second place.
In a special moment during the tournament, the ConMet Canton team was presented with a $30,000 donation from Amsted Industries to support their employees and families affected by Hurricane Helene. This contribution, along with the $160,850 already raised through a GoFundMe campaign, will aid the Canton community in their recovery efforts.
The event was a huge success, showcasing the camaraderie and teamwork that define Amsted Industries. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this day such a success.
